Ski Holidays

Zermatt, Verbier, Val d'Isère, Courchevel — the right resort, the right chalet, the right week.

From $1,499 per person

Ski holidays are, in our experience, among the most loyalty-generating travel experiences we book. Clients who have a great first ski holiday — the right resort, the right accommodation, the right week, good snow — come back year after year. Getting the first one right matters enormously.

Choosing the Right Resort

Resort selection is the most consequential decision in ski holiday planning. Zermatt is the benchmark — car-free, visually spectacular, excellent skiing above 3,000m. Verbier is livelier, more suited to strong intermediate and expert skiers. Val d'Isère has the finest linked ski area in the Alps (Espace Killy with Tignes). Courchevel 1850 sits at the top of the Three Valleys, the world's largest linked ski area. We match resort to skier.

Chalet vs Hotel

Catered chalets offer a particular kind of ski holiday — typically a group takeover of a private house with a chalet host who cooks breakfast and dinner, prepares afternoon tea and handles the wine. For groups of 6–12, this is hard to beat on atmosphere and value. For couples or smaller groups, boutique ski hotels are often more practical. We work with both.

Ski in Ski Out

Ski-in ski-out accommodation — where you can ski directly from your chalet or hotel door to the piste — is highly sought after and commands a premium. We advise honestly on which properties genuinely deliver this and which merely claim it.

Beyond the Alps

North America offers exceptional skiing — Whistler in Canada, Aspen, Park City and Jackson Hole in the US — with different snow character (typically lighter and drier than Alpine) and a different cultural experience. Japan's Niseko is outstanding for powder enthusiasts. We book all of these as well as the European Alps.

Frequently Asked Questions

January and February typically offer the best combination of snow conditions and sufficient daylight. Christmas and New Year are the most expensive weeks. March is excellent — longer days, often sunny, and prices drop towards the end of the month.

For beginners and those returning after a break, absolutely — qualified instruction is enormously valuable. For competent skiers, private guiding on off-piste terrain is the best investment. We pre-book ski school and guiding as part of the package.

Our ski packages typically include return flights, resort transfers, accommodation (chalet or hotel), ski passes and equipment hire. We can add ski school, guiding, meals and evening activities. Everything is quoted transparently.
