Morocco Holidays

Riads in Marrakech, camel treks in the Sahara and passes through the Atlas Mountains — Morocco done properly.

From $899 per person

Morocco is one of the world's great sensory destinations — a country of souks and spice markets, centuries-old medinas, towering dunes, snow-capped mountains and one of the world's most vibrant architectural and culinary traditions. It is also, by North African standards, extremely accessible.

Marrakech

Marrakech is Morocco's most visited city and for good reason. The medina — a UNESCO World Heritage site — is a labyrinth of souks, street food stalls, tiled fountains and carved doorways. The Djemaa el-Fna square is one of the world's great public spaces. We work with exceptional riads — traditional courtyard houses — that combine Moroccan character with genuine comfort.

The Sahara Desert

A night in the Sahara is one of travel's most extraordinary experiences — reaching the dunes at sunset, riding camels to a luxury desert camp, sleeping under a sky of impossible stars and waking to sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. We arrange luxury tented camps rather than basic operators, with private tents, proper beds and excellent food.

Fez & the Imperial Cities

Fez's medina is the world's largest car-free urban area and one of the most intense, overwhelming and beautiful places anywhere. The other imperial cities — Meknes, Rabat and Chefchaouen (the blue city) — are each extraordinary. We design multi-city itineraries that cover the country's cultural highlights in a logical sequence.

The Atlas Mountains

The High Atlas, home to Berber villages and the highest peak in North Africa (Jebel Toubkal, 4,167m), offers outstanding walking and trekking. We arrange guided multi-day treks, village homestays and the spectacular Todra Gorge road trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

Morocco is a safe and well-established tourist destination. The main annoyance for visitors is persistent touts in medinas — a good riad will brief you on navigation. Solo female travellers should take normal precautions.

March to May and October to November offer ideal temperatures. December to February is cold in the mountains and desert but beautiful and uncrowded. July and August are very hot everywhere except the coast.

Haggling is expected and part of the culture in the souks — the first price is never the final price. Your riad host will advise on fair prices for common purchases.
